by Chris Caffery

December 16th to December 22nd

December 16th - Baltimore...ummm....can't think of a topic!!

Seriously...

I have drawn a blank. We did GMA, we drove here, we checked into he hotel, we did sound check, we ate, we did the show, we signed autographs....for a long time!!!!

We then went to the hotel bar. Lots of fun. James' girl Cassie was there....She is a fav of mine. So is James!!!

I dont have to leave Baltimore until tomorrow...

Great show, amazing crowd. Funny, I am not pushing there to be great crowds, but there are definately amazing ones...I am saving all of my energy for MSG....Noone has ever seen me until this show!

Goodnight

Hi...

Just checking into the hotel in Pittsburg. Cold here.

Funny to read last nights post amidst limited brain cells!

The Baltimore show was a lot of fun. 3,000 people more than 2003!

I did run all the way to the top of the arena and hit a lighting miscue...kinda anti-climatic!

I see that Pedro Martinez signed with my Queens locals...Should be fun a t Shea this year. Piazza has a "Faces" CD. He is a huge metal fan. If you read way back in my NSDT's...you may find me talking about him.

I am going to post last nights writing on a new thread!

Hello from the Steel City!

<This is what I wrote last night on the bus ride!>

Hello from DC, well Virginia…Today was very eventful. We pulled out of Baltimore at about 1:30. It would have been sooner but I got stuck on the 15th floor of the hotel. As soon as I pressed the button to go down to the lobby the light shut off. I waited 10 minutes and asked housekeeping what was up. There was a fire drill and they had to reset the elevator. I got on the bus and was going to sleep, but it was only an hour drive and I was hungry. The caterers in DC/Baltimore are in house and I like their food a lot. I had a huge burger for lunch and their famous amazing crab cakes and dip for dinner! I was so full onstage! I have been trying to answer all of your mail. I think I have like 950 in my inbox! Yikes! I will get you you eventually. All I ask is to be kind on the mails back after I answer. I may not be able to get back to everyone twice! Al Pitrelli’s friend Charlie came by before the show with some of his home made hot sauce for me. He tweaked it a bit and named it after me! Caffery’s Frickin’ Psycho Scorcher! I am so excited! I have like 12 jars! U rule Charlie! Also I saw Kevin from the Air Force. He was the guy who sent me my camera A/C adaptor. You all should thank him. I got him, his wife and his daughter some laminates. I was happy to help! Me and Bob did a radio interview with Surf at the classic rock station here. Very cool guy! The show was way sold out! We started a bit late and I found out why. Besides the traffic and the late arrivals….Jason Flom the president of our record company was coming to the show. Paul was there too. We got presented a double Platinum award for Christmas Eve And Other Stories!!!! Yup, over 2 million sold in the US! The crowd was great, the band was on fire. Just a very smooth and special night. The autograph line was a bit long,. Lots of Faces CD’s and some Frickin’Losers! Last night I got the funniest hat. It is a Santa hat that sez…”Who’s your Santa!!!” I want to make CC.com hats like this next tour! We are currently driving to Pittsburgh. The guys are watching a movie, I am working like usual. I think I may venture out on a US headline tour in the Spring. I believe it may be Chris Caffery’s Faces with Alex Skolnick, American Trash and ZO2!!! Cool tour huh? US press is starting to develop. I can’t wait til 2005! Looks like we will record a new Butcher tune in January for a release of the first CD in the US on Black Lotus Records too! We were rehearsing something special for Madison Square Garden. It is haunting….Lots of tears at soundcheck. I am going to answer some mail and get to sleep! Off to Pittsburgh

<Now in Pittsburgh! Lots of new mail. Gonna get to a bunch and hit the gym. Then it is off to lunch at the venue and more hot sauce! Excited for the show tonite. James Lewis and Dave Whittman are from here...cool arena. Peace!>

December 17th - Good Morning from Detroit Rock City!

Hi!

I just walked into my hotel room. Never got to write a dairy entry last night. I suppose we were having too much fun!

After I wrote you in Pittsburgh I ran to the gym. Very nice hotel gym and a very kind trainer too.

Pittsburgh is James Lewis' home town. His Mom was in the house. I said something onstage about her and mentioned James' dad. He passed away last year. James always qoutes things his dad told him as a kid, I know it meant a lot to him.

Paul was there again. This show was WAY sold out. There were no tickets anywhere!

I remember some of the venue workers. I did point out onstage that the building was not too bust this year. No hockey of course and it is the Igloo that the Penguins would play in!

Amazing show! Great crowd. I was told that I slipped up and kinda said something before Wish Lizst that resembled a "F" word...I was just trying to say something and stopped before the word faces...kinda sounded funny!

Taz, Savatage's light designer was in the house with a country band he works with. I forget the name, but they were really cool. We hit some bar and did some shots in honor of Dimebag. I see lots of Pantera shirts in the signing line.

Looking forward to tonite's show. I have high hopes for this being one of the best all tour...sold out here too...so far Cleveland had the highest attendance for any one show..about 14,500. I think tonite is around 12,000. Last night was about the same. Amazing. Think about this. We played for more people in the Cleveland matinee than the whole first tour!!!!!

i am going to read mail and go back to sleep. I have a radio interview at 1PM on WRIF...cool frickin' station! Today is all about the cammo...I am in Ted's land!

Talk to you in Columbus!

Chris

p.s. Very tempted to use Ted's rap every night...I almost do after Carmina...I wanna give a big... "You like that shit, don't ya!" I stop at stuff!

It is Christmas!

December 18th - Good Morning from a Foggy Columbus! Over 1500 here now!

Howdy!

Well...it is sunny in Columbus, but foggy in my head!

Detroit, you kicked our ass! Yup...Friday night in Detroit Rock City!

I arrived at the venue to find out that Kid Rock...aka to me as Bobby...was coming to the show. I called him up and he was going to be there right about show time. We worked on our MSG tribute again and I went to the bus to work on vocals. My voice felt amazing. I was looking for something to sing on my CD that was challenging. So Far Today is probably the most, my high range is really strengthening!!!

I was so excited to play for Kid! He is an idol of mine. This guy is so cool and way talented. You have to see him if you have not been to a show!

The crowd was great. WRIF was in the house. Steve Black introduced the show. Very moving intro. I did an interview during the day with Doug Podell...I think they are going to add Pisses Me Off to the station!

This crowd was insane. Yelling constantly. Applauding each narration! I mentioned a few things onstage. Kid's presence...Dave Whittman's Birthday...he is our sound engineer...

I made it all the way to the top of this arena.

The funniest thing however was my Ben Wallace Jersey and wig!

Production got me a Piston's jersey....but they also got me a wig to wear .A big afro! When Bob introduced me I had it on...It was so funny!

After the show we had a cake for Dave and headed to the line. I called Bobby to see where he was. He was out at a really nice Italian Restaurant named Lellies I think....Can't remember the name exactly.

He told me to blow off the signing line and come see him. I found a compromise. I walked through the line backwards! I signed everyone's stuff...but really quick! I apologize for this...I had a business meeting with Rock!!!!!

I arrived and it was like seeing a childhood friend. We had hung out before and he had seen TSO a bunch of times, but he is just the coolest guy on the planet! We talked about everything from the show to Dimebag, to hunting, girls and music. He went up and sang on the restaurant piano/mic. He is just frickin' amazing. The guy is a true entertainer. A rare person!

I was late for my bus call so the bus came to me!

It was just a great night all the way around!

Thanks Detroit...thanks Kid! I hope to see you again soon! Rumor has it we may!

I am going back to bed!

I have very close friends and family here in Columbus...

Goodnight!

Chris

p.s. We are over 1500 members here now! This place is becoming quite interesting!!!! Thanks for the support!

December 19th - Columbus wins so far!

Hi there!

I am currently in Grand Rapids. I must let you all know that Columbus officially kicked Erie's ass last night! It was amazing.

We had about 6,000 people there MORE than the last time!

I saw so many friends!

Sarge Ed Rossman was there with his family! He made it back from Iraq safe!

My childhood friend Brad was there with his family. I had not seen some of them in years! His Mom and Dad were there. I was so happy that they could see me perform. Brad lived right next to me and Butch when we were kids...So...he is my unofficial 3rd brother! I was happy to see his sisters Robin and Kelly too. Brad's one son was so funny...he was dancing the whole show. They had tix in the second row. I made it out to dinner with them all before the show. The time in the day flies by so fast!

I don't know what made this crowd different, they applauded everything! Each narration...they were constantly standing and cheering.

I want to thank Ice Cream girl for the 6 pints!

My friend Stephanie was there with her Mom...I am sayin hi to them here!

It was a very eventful day. By far the longest autograph line yet!

Could not help thinking about Dimebag in this city. The thought was with me onstage of the whole event. Very frightening! I am still in shock and hope his family is ok.

We sat and listened to each others music on the bus....Trash, Faces...Lewis' stuff...it was a fun ride. I was singing along with the CD very late at night. My throat feels it!

2 shows today, I am going back to bed!

Good Day/night!

Chris

Even more new members here today!!! About 15 I think! In just a bit over a year there have been 185,000 posts on this board! U rock! Thnkas for the support and friendship here!

December 20th - Night time in Grand Rapids becomes new King! Spiritual

Yup...

Right after you did not think you may see a better crowd...Grand Rapids kicked our Butt!!!!!!

The afternoon show was kinda average as far as crowds go. Great show, just average. I was so tired...lots of expresso beans needed for this one!

We just arrived in Syracuse. I am awaiting a visit from some friends and then I am meeting up with John West. We are all heading to the Dinosaur Barbeque soon! It is frickin' cold out but I think I will hunt tomorrow morning. Tonite, I am heading to Cortland.

There was a very bizarre moment before the night time show. I walked onto the tour bus. I thought someone was there. The door to the back of the bus opened and closed. I saw the handle turn. I wandered into the bathroom to grab my hair brush and opened the door to the back of the bus. It was empty. There was noone there...BUT there was.... I could feel it.

I actually started to cry a bit because I knew what was up. I wandered into the venue in a daze. I saw Bob and told him what happened. I had a feeling that this show would be special!

We headed to the stage and when we hit only 2 of the 4 light trusses moved. I know it was silly, but it was a sign. This crowd was so pumped up from the second we stepped onstage. They were yelling, standing...applauding every little solo I did, every narration...everything! I think you would have to be there to understand, but this was the best audience I have ever seen at a TSO show. I kept the rabbits foot in my tux pocket. We were definately not alone onstage last night. The band was great, the crowd was amazing! By far the most energetic crowd I had ever seen with TSO. We played for over 20,000 people yesterday! WOW!

Really long autograph line, but it was great to see these people up close.

We headed across the street for a bit after we finished to celebrate.

Long drive, but we were all happy! Finally a day off and some rest!

Thanks for an amazing night...thanks to everyone for making this the best tour ever. DDP...we know you are there...you are loved and missed but never forgotten for a second!

Talk to you tomorrow...I am off to the shower and to find my brain cells!

Peace!

Chris

December 22nd - Metalfest In Syracuse!

Hi ya!

Last night was really interesting...

After I left for the show I hit the bus and quickly changed into the tux.

Then it was time for the check presentation photo and stage thing.

We hit the stage and the show was great. Really good crowd, but Grand Rapids still wins!

I gave a quick hello to John West from the stage. I was happy to see him in the crowd...he was unable to make it last tour.

Right after the show John, Lonnie Park (keyboardist Earthmaker CD) and Eric Adams from Manowar came to the bus with friends and family...

They had to leave and we headed to the autograph line.

We were staying the night in Syracuse so after the Dinsaur ribs hit the bus we hit a local pub. Inside was Joey Belladon. the original singer in Anthrax.

Me and Alex took pictures with him!

The night had members of Royal Hunt, Manowar, Anthrax, Savatage, Testament...a good ole school metal night!

I have to get to the bus...

Rainy day here...foggy day in my head!

Next stop Rochester and more Dinosaur BBQ!!!

Peace!

Chris
